| RTCA/DO-160D: RTCA/DO-160D
is published by RTCA, Inc., a global organization comprised of industry
and government representatives who develop standards to assure the safety
and reliability of all aviation electronics equipment (avionics). Manufacturers
of commercial avionics equipment selling products in the United States,
Europe, and around the globe, must meet RTCA requirements, including RTCA/DO-160D.
The European Organization for Civil Aviation Electronics (EUROCAE) works
jointly with RTCA in the development of avionics standards, and publishes
its own, identical document known as EUROCAE/ED-14D. MIL-STD-461E/462: MIL-STD-461E establishes the design requirements for the control of the electromagnetic emission and susceptibility characteristics of equipment and subsystems used by agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense. MIL-STD-462D establishes general techniques for use in the measurement and determination of the electromagnetic emission and susceptibility characteristics of equipment and subsystems used by agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense. MIL-STD-461E/462D has also become the de-facto EMC standard used by NATO and by defense departments in countries around the globe. EUROCAE/ED-14D: European Union version of RTCA/DO-160D. Def-Stan 59-41: United Kingdom's Ministry of Defense EMC standard, similar to MIL-STD-461E/462D |
