RHEIN TECH LABORATORIES, INC. ANNOUNCES RECOGNITION FROM KOREA’S RADIO RESEARCH LABORATORY
Herndon, VA- Rhein Tech Laboratories, Inc. announces its recognition by the Radio Research Laboratory (RRL) of the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC), Korea, as a CAB for EMC testing under the terms of Phase I of the APEC TEL MRA. Under this arrangement, Rhein Tech is now designated to conduct EMC tests and to give approval for application the Korean MIC Mark for equipment, which demonstrates compliance with Korean EMC standards. RRL requires all IT equipment imported or sold in the South Korean market to display the MIC Mark.
Rhein Tech is fully qualified and equipped to perform tests for compliance to the following Korean EMC standards: KN22, with RRL Notice No. 2005-82 (Sept. 29, 2005): Information Technology Equipment - Radio Disturbance Characteristics - Limits and Methods of Measurement; KN 61000-4-2: Electrostatic Discharge Immunity Test; KN 61000-4-3: Radiated, Radio-Frequency, Electromagnetic Field Immunity Test; KN 61000-4-4: Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC): Testing and Measurement Techniques - Electrical Fast Transient/Burst Immunity Test; KN 61000-4-5: Surge Immunity Test; KN 61000-4-6: Immunity to Conducted Disturbances, Induced by Radio-Frequency Fields; KN 61000-4-8: Power Frequency Magnetic Field Immunity Test; and KN 61000-4-11: Voltage Dips, Short Interruptions and Voltage Variations Immunity Tests.
