Kuwait – CITRA to Ban 2G and 3G Telecommunication Devices

On June 11, 2023, the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) of Kuwait published Resolution No. 297/2023, to stop granting import and entry permits to the state markets for telecommunication peripheral devices that operate only on 2G and 3G technology for communications. Effective September 1, 2023, telecommunications devices that operate only on 2G and/or 3G will be banned from importation and entry into Kuwait.
